1st Regiment Engineers

Organized in the Dept. of the Cumberland from Pioneer Brigade, Dept. of the Cumberland, July 8, 1864. Duty in the Dept. of the Cumberland repairing railroads, building block houses and bridges and in general engineering duties until September, 1865. Mustered out September 26, 1865.

1st Regiment Infantry

Organized at Washington, D.C., December 24, 1864, to March 1, 1865. Attached to Hancock's 1st Veteran Corps March, 1865. 1st Brigade, 1st Veteran Corps, to April, 1865. 2nd Brigade, Provisional Division, Army of the Shenandoah, to June, 1865. Middle Department to July, 1866.

SERVICE.--Duty at Washington, D.C., in the Shenandoah Valley and in the Middle Department until July, 1866. Mustered out January 10 to July 21, 1866.

2nd Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D. C., January to March, 1865. Attached to 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Veteran Corps, to June, 1865. District of New York, Dept. of the East, to August, 1866. Mustered out August 1, 1866.

3rd Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., February to March, 1865. Attached to 2nd Brigade, Provisional Division, Army of the Shenandoah, to June, 1865. Camp Butler, Ill., to July, 1866. Duty in the Defenses of Washington, D.C., in the Shenandoah Valley, Va., and at Camp Butler, Ill. Mustered out July 20, 1866.

4th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., December, 1864, to May, 1865. Mustered out August 6, 1866.

5th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., January to April, 1865. Duty at Washington, D.C., Providence, R. I., Fort Wadsworth, N.Y., and Hart's Island, N.Y., until May, 1866. Mustered out May 28, 1866.

6th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., March and April, 1865. Mustered out March 15 to July 27, 1866.

7th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., January 25 to April 14, 1865. Attached to 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Veteran Corps, to June, 1865. Duty at Washington, D.C., Shenandoah Valley, Va., in Philadelphia, Pa., District and Schuylkill, Pa., District until July, 1866. Mustered out July 23, 1866.

8th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., February to April, 1865. Mustered out July 28, 1866.

9th Regiment Infantry

Organized at Camp Stoneman, D.C., March to June, 1865. Mustered out February 26 to July 1, 1866.
